On July 24, fellow members (“Soul Friends”) from the Songshan Lake and Guanbei branches gathered at Dongguan LiCheng Electronics Co., Ltd. for the 9th joint study session—the first collaborative event between these two branches under Shenzhen Shenghe Dojo.
Host Ms. Jiang Feiyan gave a detailed company introduction and led the group on a site tour. Founded on June 18, 1993, LiCheng is a diversified group specializing in the manufacturing of wires, cables, plugs, and related products.
The session focused on Principle #9 of “The Twelve Management Principles” by Kazuo Inamori: “Act with Courage.” Leaders must never show cowardice. Ms. Xu Juan delivered an insightful guided reading, highlighting six key points:
1. Strive harder than anyone else.
2. Unite closely with employees to build collective strength.
3. Maintain rigorous and transparent accounting practices.
4. Hold firm to your beliefs—even if only 1% of people believe in you.
5. Act with prudence and reverence.
6. Cultivate deep practical experience and competence.
In business leadership, courage and boldness are essential. Leaders must bravely face the responsibilities and consequences of their decisions. No matter the challenge—big or small—they must act decisively, knowing that every judgment carries risk and accountability. Continuous learning, self-discipline, and relentless pursuit of excellence are vital to building true courage.
Attendees of the 27th World Conference of Shenghe Dojo also shared their experiences:

— Ms. Ye Jianmei (Dongguan Jiasheng Daily Plastic Products Co., Ltd.) on “From Receiving to Gratitude.”
“Sharing is the beginning of altruism,” said host Chairman Ye, who then shared insights on “Evaluating a Company’s Operational Health from a Financial Perspective,” covering:
1. Profit management
2. Revenue growth rate
3. Accounts receivable management
4. Cash flow management
5. Inventory management
Chairman Ye placed special emphasis on inventory management, sharing years of accumulated expertise. His talk sparked great interest, and he patiently answered all questions from the participants.
Mr. Liu Gexin, Director of Shenzhen Shenghe Dojo, shared how he applies Kazuo Inamori’s philosophy in both life and work, inspiring everyone present: “If you’re willing to learn, you’ll always find time. If you believe, you can change. True growth leads to happiness in both career and family. Let your actions align with your soul—start with yourself. Believe deeply, study sincerely, and act wholeheartedly. As you practice, you’ll influence your loved ones.”
During the evening “Kuubā” (informal sharing circle), participants discussed: “As a leader, how do you lead by example after studying the ‘Six Practices for Personal Growth’?” Under Ms. Xu Juan’s facilitation, “Soul Friends” took turns sharing personal transformations and real-world applications of Inamori’s teachings.
